ABC Cinema
Set to regenerate a prominent site on Leicester’s Belgrave Gate, this mixed-use scheme will comprise 126 one and two bedroom apartments together with ground floor commercial, retail and leisure space, cycle storage, parking and landscaped roof terraces. Featuring three linked buildings rising in height from five to nine storeys, the design proposal celebrates the site’s history as the former ABC Cinema, which was demolished in 2007. Through a series of evolving apertures, materials and colour tones, it will create a strong frontage whilst simultaneously addressing the adjacent new bus link Leicester City Council has commissioned to improve connectivity.
