Our scheme is centered around the creation of a creative Business Hub, this Hub space combined with the student use creates and supports an active public space at the center of the scheme allowing for the creation of a café and outdoor event space.
The scheme will provide student accommodation for 327 students, to meet specific local demand and release general needs housing for the wider community. The scheme has been designed to offer a variety of student accommodation to cater for a diverse market on a range of budgets. To this effect, the offering ranges from bedrooms with shared bathrooms to self-contained studios.
The proposals present the unique opportunity to create a community with the existing student development on the neighbouring site, whilst providing a quality piece of public realm at the heart of the development.
Direct views over the canal create the opportunity to exploit the heritage of the industrial setting of the site.
Our plans will enhance connectivity into the town center and surrounding green spaces through new and existing pedestrian paths, as well as promoting the use of the canal tow-path. Ensuring sustainable travel is at the forefront the proposals.
