One of a trio of award-winning buildings the practice designed on Abbey Park Street, Leicester, The Wolsey is a significant Extra Care scheme of 103 homes. A building of significant local interest, The Wolsey dated back to the 1920s and featured a cameo of Cardinal Wolsey which had to be retained. As such, the design integrated this corner section and reflected further points of reference from this era in the new build element of the scheme. 15% of The Wolsey’s energy usage is through renewable technology.
